Your Role:
The Senior Talent and Office Operations Partner is the primary Employee Experience (EX) and recruiting lead for our brand new Vancouver, BC R&D hub. You serve as the on-site EX presence, partnering closely with engineering and product leaders to recruit top R&D talent and deliver a consistently high-quality candidate experience.
In this role, you’ll build and shape the office from the ground up, owning day-to-day operations, vendors, and events while refining workflows that make the space run smoothly. You become the go-to connector for our Vancouver team, balancing hands-on execution with opportunities to improve how we hire and support our R&D community.
Responsibilities:
Ability to manage multiple hiring priorities across various departments.
Being a strategic confidant to your hiring managers and executive leaders to ensure they are seeing the forest and not just the trees when it comes to the candidate experience.
Willingness to own projects directly or adjacent to your day to day responsibilities.
Proactively engaging talent for pipeline creation against hard to fill functions.
Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Own the pre-boarding and onboarding logistics, including documentation, workspace setup, and first-day details.
Manage day-to-day office operations, including ordering and maintaining office supplies, snacks, and equipment.
Manage vendor relationships within the predetermined budget and guidelines (e.g., office supplies, facilities, food, events) for quotes, orders, deliveries, and basic issue resolution.
Help plan and execute in-office and virtual events (e.g., all-hands, team offsites, cultural events, celebrations).
Track and reconcile office-related invoices and expenses in partnership with Global Facilities Manager.
Support EX projects (e.g., data clean-up, process updates, communications) as needed.
Job Requirements:
5+ years of related experience in HR, People Operations, Recruiting, or a similar role; or equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Comfortable using HR systems and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, calendar and collaboration tools).
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively with candidates, employees, managers, and vendors.
Experience with basic office operations or facilities support (supplies, vendors, events) preferred.
Proven ability to hire Technical positions with volume with speed and accuracy.
High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
Physical Requirements:
Working out of our Vancouver, BC office according to our “Global Hybrid Working Policy.”
This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, frequent use of standard office equipment, and occasional lifting or moving of office supplies and event materials (generally up to 20 pounds).
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel is expected for this role. Occasional travel (up to approximately 10%) may be required for team events, cross-office collaboration, or vendor meetings.
