Your Role
In Japan, the Chief Enablement Officer serves as the "Architect" supporting the growth of our Go-To-Market (GTM) engine. You will act as the bridge between global strategy and local execution, ensuring our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams possess the knowledge, tools, and cultural agility required to win in the Japanese market.
Reporting directly to the CEO of Japan, you will oversee the entire talent lifecycle—from day-one onboarding to long-term professional mastery for all GTM personnel.
GTM Onboarding and Acculturation
Design and execute world-class onboarding programs for all Japan-based GTM members to accelerate "Time to Productivity."
Localize global playbooks, optimizing them for Japanese business etiquette (Omotenashi, decision-making hierarchies, purchasing cycles, etc.).
Act as a mentor to GTM members, facilitating a seamless integration into the corporate culture.
Performance Enablement and Training
Identify skill gaps within the current GTM team and deploy targeted training (Discovery skills, negotiation, social selling, etc.).
Design and provide enablement initiatives for partners, prospects, and existing customers to maximize product value and support the success of the entire ecosystem.
Collaborate with Product and Marketing departments to ensure teams are well-versed in our value proposition and the Japanese competitive landscape.
Implement and manage the sales enablement tech stack (CRM training, CMS, conversational intelligence tools, etc.).
Career Development and Coaching
Establish career progression frameworks for GTM roles to improve retention and internal mobility.
Provide 1-on-1 coaching for high-potential GTM leaders and managers.
Partner with HR to foster a high-performance culture rooted in continuous learning (leveraging Employee Experience/EX perspectives).
Strategy and Impact Measurement
Define and track key enablement metrics (quota attainment, win rates, ramp-up time, etc.).
Provide quarterly insights to the executive team regarding team readiness and market challenges.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Sales, GTM Operations, or Enablement, primarily within the SaaS/Tech industry.
Deep understanding of Japanese B2B business customs and GTM motions.
Leadership: Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional projects.
A "Builder" Mindset: A passion for creating systems from scratch and iteratively improving them based on data.
In-house Experience: Direct experience working within a business entity, with a deep understanding of internal decision-making processes and frontline challenges.
Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the digital marketing space and experience managing/leading teams.
Upper Business/Native level of Fluency in Japanese
Physical Requirements:
Working out of the Tokyo office according to our “Global Hybrid Working Policy.”
Travel Requirements:
Occasional Travel needed for onsite recruitment events and team building
